To create real problems in your characters life, you must know all of the real problems in your own life. Problems start somewhere in every human being. Find out those problems and those beginnings. It must be real; and you must know where they come from so that you will not be acting ... but living the way you are because of the life you have lived.

ReplyDeleteDon't act for an outcome, look for the cause. Don't act like the character, find out what made this human being the way they are. Every effect, or affectation a human being has must have a cause for them to be effected.. Cause and effect.
ReplyDeleteIf a script tells you that a certain person is shy around men, then don't just act shy around men... Figure out what made you shy around men! Now live with that past on your shoulders. Create that real life with in those imaginary circumstances.
