A note from the acting coach.

I do not teach a method. I do not teach chekov, Stanislavski, Meisner.  I teach a class focused on television and film.  Being that none of these previous methods were developed for tv and film, I don't think that any of them by themselves are perfect fit for such a medium.  Living with a camera one foot infont of your face is much different than performing for an audience sitting ten feet from you trying to hear you speak loudly with your instrument that is being pushed and forced into looking like you have achieved an emotion.  I don't teach you to act out your emotions; but to live and experience your emotions. Therefore, we the audience (camera) can enjoy your real excitement, heartache, and joy.  Just because you are trained as an actor does not mean your ready for Film and Television.  A trained Shakespearian actor would stand no chance in front of a camera.  That being said, a professional film and television actor would also make a fool of himself trying to do Macbeth.  Unlike a college I am not locked into any curriculum.  So come, join me in the search of truth in your acting.  Please be ready to work because making the choice of being an actor should never be taken lightly. I will be the first to tell you it takes a lot of hard work.
