A day goes by...

As an actor you always have something to work on.  Your voice, your articulation, your resume, your headshot, if all else fails just be creative.   Write, or read.  A few recommended books would be Respect for Acting, No acting please,  and To the Actor.  You must understand that this is a career driven by you.  If your passion and want is not into acting, then please step away from the career.  Not giving your career the respect it deserves gives other actors a bad wrap.  The Sag union is one of the only Union affiliation that has over 75% of it's members out of work.  I am not here to discourage you, but to give you the reality.  Which is what acting is all about, Reality.  Do not expect to be discovered or for someone to give you a role because you say you can act.  This industry is as cut throat as any and should not be taken lightly.  Yes, it is a lot of fun, but it is still a business.  So, I only ask that you take your career seriously.  Get in class, train, and work out your instrument.  Do you think Micheal Jordan took himself seriously?   If you are not prepared when the time comes to prove yourself then you may miss the only chance you will ever have.   Remember, 8 years as a working actor that finally makes it to the big screen is considered an over night success.
